Sal Fasano Avenue

Thanks for checking out my Web site and for everyone support with Sals Pals. I've tried to respond to many of you, but it's just not possible to get to everyone. So I decided to create SALS PAL'S AVENUE. This page is a designated area where I can give a special thanks to my supporters for your kind words by posting a few of my favorite e-mails which I have received. Sals Pals has been one of the most fun things I have been a part of and I am honored to have everyone's support.

You live in the area- will you come to my block party in April? Also- will you do apperances for companies?

Do your knees hurt from catching in such an unorthodox position? How in the world do you get down so low?
Sal Fasano: Sal Fasano: It was a technique I used that help me with quickness behind the plate. As you know I had a sore back this year for my one DL stint, but I am back to 100% and feeling awesome for a sucecssful 2007 season!

Do you ever feel overwhelmed meeting fans? You made my son's night so memorable a few years ago when you played the Cubs. You came over to my son and signed a ball for him and actually spent a few moments with him. Wanted to say thank you!
Sal Fasano: Sal Fasano: The fans are what makes baseball great! I enjoy meeting people from all backgrounds and all walks of life and am glad that I could spend that moment with you son. The fans are great and that is why I am so impressed and in awe of Sals Pals. What a feeling to be admired and with that and being a pro athlete comes responsibility and the fans make the game and I never will forget that.

I saw UE play Illinois State this past season. Do you think either of those teams would beat your Evansville team?
Sal Fasano: Sal Fasano: I grew up watching those teams play and they are close to my hometown. I have to give a biased anwser and say Evansville! Love all of those teams and it is great baseball!

Tell me more about your charity?
Sal Fasano: Sal Fasano: The chairty that I am proud of is called UPI. (Unlimted Potential). We have the opportunity to work with kids all around the world and teach them baseball. This also is a program where there is ministry work involved so it is so much more than baseball and I hope that I have made and continue to make positive impacts in the lives of children everywhere.
